Compton Abbas National Championship Air Race

Compton Abbas Air Race was held on June 30th and July 31st 2001. A pre-race warm up was held on the Saturday, which involved flying the course at 90% race speed, checking waymarks, and learning the geography of the course. This was followed by a race on Saturday afternoon. The championship air race was held on Sunday.

The Bulldog finished 3rd in the Championship race on Sunday. The pilot was Roger Hayes, with the navigator being Chris Hayes.
