Our EX RAF Bulldog
Ex-RAF BAe Bulldog 120 - XX537 has been introduced to SKYSPORT's fleet and
is in active service for members. This brings the strength up to 3 Bulldogs
and 2 Beagle Pup 150s, making our club the largest dedicated operator of these
superb flying machines.
XX537, an ex RAF University Squadron machine is in immaculate condition, complete
with a brand new avionics kit including a King KMD 150 GPS, twin comms and VOR
ILS. Even the upholstery has been renewed.
Like our HONG KONG BULLDOG HKG-6, both are capable of almost 1100 ft/min rate
of climb, and a cruise speed of 120 kts. These two are real pilot's aeroplanes
and have been loveingly revurbished. They are among the best examples of the
type available anywhere.

The Scottish Aviation Bulldog evolved from the Beagle Pup and
first flew in 1978. G-BPCL served with the Royal Hong Kong Auxiliary Air Force before
returning to the UK in 1988 when it was sold to private ownership.
Our Royal Hong Kong Auxiliary Air force Bulldog ceased operation in 1987 and
was re-imported to the UK when it was purchased by Roger
Hayes and other members of the 121 Group in 1989.
During this time, it has been carefully maintained. The Lycoming
engine has been overhauled, and is low houred. Without doubt this
is one of the best maintained Bulldogs.
